Many brands struggle with getting more engagement on their social media channels. However, with a little creativity and consistency a drastic increase in engagement is definitely possible. Below are five ideas that you can implement into your brand’s social media that have been proven to boost engagement.
Idea #1: Humor
Everyone loves a good laugh especially on social media and . Try to find memes that your audience can relate to someway, For instance, retailers who predominantly cater to bridal can share funny memes about weddings and relationships. You can create your own memes on sites like Imgflip or repost memes that received great response on other pages. When reposting make sure to reach out to the post’s original owner for permission and tag them in the post.
Idea #2: This Or That
If you haven’t noticed yet, social media users are super opinionated. Use this to your brand’s advantage by asking your audience questions. My favorite way to do this is to show two (or more) pieces of jewelry side by side and ask followers to comment on which piece they prefer. You can use apps like Canva or Pic Collage to create your this or that post.
Idea #3: Fun Facts
Fun facts are a great way to engage your audience and build more credibility for your brand. The key is to find truly interesting facts that are buzzworthy. Create a graphic to depict the fact using Canva or A Design Kit. Make sure to tag your post with relevant hashtags and link the post to your blog or Pinterest page where followers can discover more cool facts. Also, don’t forget to find reputable sources for your facts and cite them appropriately.
Idea #4: Motivational Quotes
Quotes are an effective way to inspire and connect with your followers (leading to engagement) while creating a cohesive look and feel for your feed. Stick with positive quotes that reflect your brand’s values. Use the same template for quotes and post them consistently. It’s always wise to create a month’s worth of quotes in one sitting so that you’ll always have one to post.
Idea #5: Reuse Old Content
Finally, don’t shy away from using past posts. Many brands reuse their best content because they have been proven to get higher engagement in the past and many new followers probably haven’t seen it yet. Use tools like Hootsuite or Sprout Social to help you identify your brand’s best posts of all time.
